The ACR series are ironless arc linear motors, also called arc motors, which are particularly suitable for limited angle reciprocating (<360 degrees) swing and 360-degree continuous rotation.

Compared with DDR rotary positioning, ACR arc motors from Jacobis can be matched with large-size circular gratings or linear grating scales and arc guides, large center holes, and a more compact structural design with lower height and higher rigidity. They can achieve repeatability and absolute accuracy that cannot be matched by general DDR.

Application conditions

Some applications require only a given degree of rotational motion, and a full turn of a direct-drive rotary motor is not necessary. The use of ACR series arc motors can help effectively reduce costs and save space, which is particularly significant when the movement radius is large. The main technical advantages of ACR arc motors compared to conventional direct-drive rotary motors are their flat structure and very large center hole. Through electromagnetic and mechanical optimization design, the arc motor can have good torque performance. This helps customers develop more compact products, thereby increasing market competitiveness.

ACR arc motors from ACOBISS are suitable for G2.5, G4.5, G6, G8.5, G10.5, G11 LCD panels and 8-inch and 12-inch wafer processing and testing equipment, measurement medical equipment, and precision assembly and printing production lines.
